You can gain great benefits for your body in a shorter period of time. In fact, if you were to workout for just 10 minutes a day, you’d gain similar benefits to those that work out 50 minutes 3 times a week.
I know it’s hard to imagine because we’re so used to being told about the 1-1/2 hours we’d have to spend in the gym to see improvements in our fitness and health.
Well, with more research into the science of exercise, we’re finding that you can get a pretty good workout in just 10 minutes. Yup. You can, indeed, gain great benefits for your body in a shorter period of time. Here are some ways to do just that.
The first type of exercises where we can gain benefits in a short period of time is HIIT. And while you sure can do a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout, be advised that it requires quite a bit of strength, endurance, and exertion. For us over 50, we might still be able to do a HIIT workout perhaps with some modifications though.
HIIT is, however, a very effective and efficient way of raising up that heart rate and burning a ton of calories in a short amount of time.
If mobility issues, chronic pain or other health issues are something you deal with, then HIIT might not be what you’re looking for.
But that doesn’t mean you have to give up on gaining great benefits in a shorter period of time for your workout. You could mimic a HIIT protocol workout with moves that are available to you.
You can still gain great benefits in a shorter period of time with a workout that’s a low impact or no impact, with moves that are manageable, easy to modify and not too convoluted with twists and turns.
